Created by a handful of lifelong Elmwood Park residents and business owners, the Elmwood Park Neighborhood Civic Organization is a non-profit organization formed with the idea of helping to foster and improve the sense of community and camaraderie among our neighbors and friends in Elmwood Park.

By working with our members and the Village through meetings, town halls, forums, our website, through e-mail and on the phone, our end goal is simple: We want to make sure that Elmwood Park is the best place to live, work, and raise a family, not just today, but for many years to come.

A fully democratic and open organization, the EPNCO will give you a greater voice in the community. It is up to you – our members – to decide on which issues we will collectively focus our efforts. Members have suggested:

  • working with the police to promote safety in the neighborhood,
  • donating time, money, and resources to Village programs and events that may have experienced budget cuts over the years,
  • increasing a sense of camaraderie amongst neighbors by adding new events and programs for kids, adults and seniors, and…much more.

These are issues that affect all of us in Elmwood Park, whether you’re on the north or south side of “the tracks,” whether you just moved to the area or have been in town for fifty years.
